We ate food from a department store tonight. Many department stores here have their whole basement floor dedicated to food. The setup reminded me of The Bay's cosmetic section, but with fancy food in all of the display cases (instead of perfume). A whole floor dedicated to food! Amazing!
(Side note: See the price on the grapes? Melons and grapes seem to be precious commodities here -VERY EXPENSIVE! Not always as quite as expensive as this, but I couldn't believe the price for this one box of grapes! ¥21,600 is almost $230 Canadian!).
All of the take-out food was marked 1/2 off by the time we got to the store! We ate so much delicious food for under $20!
